Bag a poppy !

Hello Everyone,

Well how are you all? We are all ok here at Dreamees HQ, we had a busy weekend with being at a papercraft show in Birmingham at the Motor Cycle museum, it was lovely to see so many friends and  customers again.

Today I have a Poppy Bag to show you which I made a week or so ago now and only just got time to post on my blog. ( Oh Dear )

When we were doing the Hunkydory show at Stoneleigh, our friend Elaine Robinson brought  some bags to show us which she had decorated using our cds so I thought after seeing those I would have a go because Elaine had done a brilliant job they really did look so lovely, so heres my go at it .

I have used a blank brown paper bag cream card, mirror card papers from our Creative cards cd available here  also our Poppy Fields stamp set available here, also Striped Delights stamp set available here. I have also used 3 different colours of pink promarkers for the poppies, and 2 different greens for the grass, also I have used cosmic shimmer embossing powder Bright Gold.
The Die I have used is Frond Finesse from Tonic Studios.

Right here goes with the way I made it up, First of all I cut a rectangle of cream card to cover the marjority of the bag base, also matt and layered with gold mirri card and a pink backing paper from the cd. I then cut a narrow rectangle again with the cream card then gold mirri and another paper from the cd. I also added a doilie from my stash, and just distressed the edges of that with gathered twigs distress ink pad.I then stamped the poppy stamp with versamark inl pad and embossed with bright gold powder. I then coloured the poppies with pink promarkers and the grass with the green promarkers.
I then stamped the various flowers from striped delights stamp set onto the printed paper I had left and embossed again with the bright gold powder. I then cut the die in gold mirri card added that to the bottom of the bag and arranged the poppy topper to the centre of the card and placed the flowers around for detail.
I then added a cream bow for added detail.

I then decided to add a little tag to the handle so you can write on it for the gift. I cut a small piece of card and folded it in half , masked the poppy stamp as I only wanted one poppy on this tag, did the same embossed and coloured in as before, layered up as I did the topper and added a small flower to finish.

Thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at my blog.

Take care speak soon.

Dreamee Christmas Lantern

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well.

Has anyone started their Christmas cards yet? We at Dreamees have been making them since May , lol. At the moment we are actually making Christmas cards for us to send to our friends and family.

At Dreamees this week we have released some new Christmas stamps even though I say it myself they are gorgeous, here is the link if you fancy taking a look - http://www.dreamees.org.uk/stamps-129-c.asp

Gathered Twigs ink pad http://www.dreamees.org.uk/distress-ink-pad---gathered-twigs-2077-p.asp
Versamark ink pad
Promarkers in green red brown and pale lemon.
Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Embossing Powder
Lace

Today I am showing you all a card I have made using the new Lantern stamp available here I think this is one of my faves of the new releases, because you can either do it traditional or modern, I opted for traditional.

I started with a cream card blank, distressed all the edges with gathered twigs distress ink pad, added a matt and layer of kraft card and patterned paper from our christmas cds. I did this with 2 more rectangle pieces of kraft card and pattern paper added those to the base card.

I then stamped the Lantern stamp 2 times available here in versamark heat embossed with bright gold embossing powder onto cream card, cut the main image into a rectangle edged with gathered twigs ink pad and second generation stamped a snowflake stamp around the image. The second image I stamped and embossed I cut out the bits I wanted to decoupage up, and coloured these with promarkers.

I added some red striped ribbon across the layers before adding the topper and a piece of lace too to add a bit more interest. I then stamped the poinsettia s onto spotted paper from Dreamees cds again embossing with bright gold embossing powder. I then added a bow in the same striped ribbon to the top corner of the card. I added the sentiment Happy Holidays as a variation on what I would normally do.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, I certainly enjoyed making the card and writing about it.

Thank you so much for looking.

Shabby Rose

Hello everyone,

I do hope you are all well and enjoying this extra bit of sunshine we are all having at the moment, its nice for me because I like it sunny but cool if that makes sense so this weather is so great for me.

Anyway getting back to the card I am showing you all today this I have called Shabby Rose after the collection of stamps it is made from.
I have used papers from the "Something to Treasure" cd rom available here which has such beautiful papers on without counting the 16 lovely templates too, well worth buying, you will use it forever.
I have also used Tattered Lace and spellbinders dies.
Also my first attempt at colouring a full image in with the Spectrum Noir pencils these are becoming my fave at the minute.
I have also used the flower stamps from the Dress set of stamps available here.
First of all I created a white card blank 14cm square, then matt and layered some kraft card and papers from the cd, I did this a few times with different sizes of card and paper to make the interest of the layers I have also distress with the Gathered twigs distress ink pad available here.
I then cut the spellbinders oval die and stamped my image on it from the Shabby Rose stamp set available here, this image is so pretty, I then coloured the image with spectrum noir pencils and am really pleased with the effect. I added  two pieces of lace across the card added the topper in the centre after distressing the edges.
I then stamped the flowers out onto the patterned papers I had already printed and layered the petals up to make 3 d flowers to embellish the card, I added a pearl into each centre too. I then cut a Tattered Lace corner and leaves to add to the finished card.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at this card.

Perfect Petals

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend, it seems a bit dull here, but at least that's great for crafting we don't have to go outside ha ha.

Well today I have a card to show you that I started making yesterday I wanted to use the Dreamees stamp set Perfect Petals available here, it is so versatile as you can make lots of flowers with the shaped petals and also can double up as leaves.

I started by stamping all the petals with a  versamark ink pad, then embossing with cosmic shimmer embossing powder true white, I then cut all the petals  out and stamped again over the top of each one with a small butterfly stamp also embossing again with true white powder, then the smaller petals I stamped with a small flower stamp, I then coloured on the back of the stamped image on the  vellum using a pink promarker to shine through onto the right side also still leaving the image lines of the stamp.
I then arranged the petals to form a flower of two layers of the bigger petals and 2 layers of the small petals, then using pinflair glue I layered them on top of each other leaving to dry overnight.
I have then cut a piece of vellum to go over my card blank stamped the small flower and embossed again in the true white, as you can see I love this embossing powder its so delicate, then used the same promarker and coloured on the reverse like before.
I have also used swirls from the tonic dies Frond Finese in silver mirror card to embellish. Before I stuck the sheet of vellum to the base card I glued the flower and swirls on to it then I could see where to add glue to the sheet so it wouldn'tshow through the vellum on to the right side. Also to finish I coloured a Dreamees pearl with the same pink promarker and added this to the centre of the flower.

I hope you like this card it is very simple to make with such a delicate finish.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.

Have fun

Christmas Baubles.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well.

Today I am showing you a card I have made using the Dreamees Members September Freebie sheets which you can purchase the Dreamees Membership here .

I first of all printed all the sheets out and trimmed them to fit the card I was making. I have also used kraft card from my stash. I then matt and layered the pieces onto the main card adding a piece of lace across the card using double sided tape. I then added the Tattered Lace die Holly Flourish, which is really so delicate.
I cut out the topper and added Dreamees Twinkles diamond glitter available here, also adding pearls to each snowflake on the topper image backing paper.I then placed the double bow in the top right hand corner adding a small pearl to the centre.I printed the sentiments out half size and cut this out with a small spellbinders circle die coloured with Gathered Twigs ink pad  available here  I then cut some small circles out of the spare backing paper I had and made the curled roses placed a pearl in the centre added these 3 to the left hand side of the topper.

I do hope you have enjoyed this post.
Thank you so much for looking.
