Fancy Florals

Hello Everyone,

First of all I must apologize for not posting sooner it will soon be a month since I last posted so I am very sorry. The reason being we have been mega busy with 3 shows in about 2 weeks for create and craft but it is always great fun and we love it and also to bring you all new items to play with. Also it is always nice to see what you make with Dreamees products so  please share your make with us we love to see them.

Right the photo of the card I am showing you today was on the show  on the 12th of May  when we were on with Dean, gosh he is such a laugh and so much fun we love him to bits.

This card was made using the stamp set Fancy Florals which sold out  (Sorry )  I stamped all the different flowers out onto patterned paper using a distress ink pad gathered twigs because I like the brown ink instead of the black sometimes. I then just layered the flowers up to make 3d effect flowers which always give a nice effect which I am looking for. I just layered some paper and card onto the base card added some lace across the card made a bow with some lace too attached these to the card with hot glue, then arranged the different 3d flowers I had made previously  across the centre of the card added pearls to the centre of the flowers added a sentiment again stamped in the brown ink pad, added some twiggy bits to add dimension too. I hope you like this finished card.

Thank you so much for looking at my blog, I would love it if you would like to leave a comment too.

Have a lovely day.

Ultimate meets Fantastic Frills

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well and looking forward to this Bank Holiday weekend.

First of all I must thank you for yet another fabulous show on Create and Craft last Sunday,  we are so delighted you love the new products as much as we do.

Today I am showing you a card I made for the show, Im not sure whether it was shown so here goes with how I made it.

First of all I created an easel card by folding my cream card in half and trimming at 14 cm square, I then folded one side of the card at 7cm to create the easel shape, these are easy to do and look really effective on the shelf.
I then printed some of the purple option of colours on the Ultimate Collection cd onto cream paper.
I stamped the Fantastic Frills stamps on the plain purple using  a versamark inkpad and Ivory embossing powder to make it stand out on the purple and colour coordinate with the base card and paper. I shaped the petals of the flowers, layered the different sizes to make 3d flowers for some interest on the card.
Now to put the card together - on the base of the card I used plain purple again to add the wow factor then matt and layered the patterned paper onto cream card, positioned this to the front edge to add dimension, added 3 of the small flowers I had made previous. I then added the patterned paper again after distressing the edges with a gathered twigs distress ink pad to the stand up bit of the card (Easel)  I then created my main focus of the card by making my topper, cutting a piece of cream card so that when the card is laid flat to go in an envelope the topper part doesn't exceed the top of the card or overhang the sides and making this an equal distance showing on each side. I matt and layered this with the plain purple paper again, run a piece of the cream card through the E bosser using an embossing folder to give interest. Then adding another matt and layer to the bottom part of the topper and adding pearls along the bottom of this edge for more interest. I then arranged the 3d flowers which I had made earlier on top of some mesh to fill it out a little  to the top right of the topper part of the card, added some wired raffia and swirls to the finished card. I then added a sentiment again stamped with versamark ink pad and embossed in ivory powder. I finished the card by adding a few more pearls on the base of the card.

Thank you so much for reading this post, I would love it if you would like to leave a comment as well.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday.
