Fancy Florals

Hello Everyone,

First of all I must apologize for not posting sooner it will soon be a month since I last posted so I am very sorry. The reason being we have been mega busy with 3 shows in about 2 weeks for create and craft but it is always great fun and we love it and also to bring you all new items to play with. Also it is always nice to see what you make with Dreamees products so  please share your make with us we love to see them.

Right the photo of the card I am showing you today was on the show  on the 12th of May  when we were on with Dean, gosh he is such a laugh and so much fun we love him to bits.

This card was made using the stamp set Fancy Florals which sold out  (Sorry )  I stamped all the different flowers out onto patterned paper using a distress ink pad gathered twigs because I like the brown ink instead of the black sometimes. I then just layered the flowers up to make 3d effect flowers which always give a nice effect which I am looking for. I just layered some paper and card onto the base card added some lace across the card made a bow with some lace too attached these to the card with hot glue, then arranged the different 3d flowers I had made previously  across the centre of the card added pearls to the centre of the flowers added a sentiment again stamped in the brown ink pad, added some twiggy bits to add dimension too. I hope you like this finished card.

Thank you so much for looking at my blog, I would love it if you would like to leave a comment too.

Have a lovely day.

Ultimate meets Fantastic Frills

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well and looking forward to this Bank Holiday weekend.

First of all I must thank you for yet another fabulous show on Create and Craft last Sunday,  we are so delighted you love the new products as much as we do.

Today I am showing you a card I made for the show, Im not sure whether it was shown so here goes with how I made it.

First of all I created an easel card by folding my cream card in half and trimming at 14 cm square, I then folded one side of the card at 7cm to create the easel shape, these are easy to do and look really effective on the shelf.
I then printed some of the purple option of colours on the Ultimate Collection cd onto cream paper.
I stamped the Fantastic Frills stamps on the plain purple using  a versamark inkpad and Ivory embossing powder to make it stand out on the purple and colour coordinate with the base card and paper. I shaped the petals of the flowers, layered the different sizes to make 3d flowers for some interest on the card.
Now to put the card together - on the base of the card I used plain purple again to add the wow factor then matt and layered the patterned paper onto cream card, positioned this to the front edge to add dimension, added 3 of the small flowers I had made previous. I then added the patterned paper again after distressing the edges with a gathered twigs distress ink pad to the stand up bit of the card (Easel)  I then created my main focus of the card by making my topper, cutting a piece of cream card so that when the card is laid flat to go in an envelope the topper part doesn't exceed the top of the card or overhang the sides and making this an equal distance showing on each side. I matt and layered this with the plain purple paper again, run a piece of the cream card through the E bosser using an embossing folder to give interest. Then adding another matt and layer to the bottom part of the topper and adding pearls along the bottom of this edge for more interest. I then arranged the 3d flowers which I had made earlier on top of some mesh to fill it out a little  to the top right of the topper part of the card, added some wired raffia and swirls to the finished card. I then added a sentiment again stamped with versamark ink pad and embossed in ivory powder. I finished the card by adding a few more pearls on the base of the card.

Thank you so much for reading this post, I would love it if you would like to leave a comment as well.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday.

Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,

First of all I must say I am so sorry for such a long time between my posts this time, Its been so busy these last few weeks I just have been working from getting up early to going to bed rather late. So a big SORRY .

Today I am showing you a card which I was going to demo on Friday the 6th March on Create and Craft but we didn't get chance to get to my 2nd demo so I thought I would do it on here for you all. I know the flowers have sold out with Create and Craft now so please bear with us until we get more.

First of all I started with a 14cm square card blank in cream. On the opening side I then cut it at 7. 5cm and the bit of cream I cut off I then cut that to 3 cm, this will be added back onto the card a bit later on.
I then cut a piece of the backing paper from Creative cards cd  which I had printed on cream paper, to 6 cm wide and 14cm long, then cut a flag on the bottom of this paper, then attach to a slightly bigger piece of cream card and trim leaving a narrow border.
Now back to the base card, cut a piece of backing paper to fit the top part of the card and also the small bit which is 3 cm wide, leaving a narrow border, I have distressed the edges of the backing paper with gathered twigs distress ink pad. I also did this on the flag part for the middle of the card.
Now attach the pointed part of the flag piece to the narrow 3cm piece of card approx in the middle I used cosmic shimmer glue so it sticks quickly.when this has dried level  the top part of the card with the 3cm part thus leaving a gab in the middle for added interest, glue again with cosmic shimmer, being careful not to put glue on all the flag piece., Trim across the top of the card to make it all level. Now I cut a die cut circle, edged  with distress ink. Attach this to the centre of the card,, then add a little of the web from the Dreamees Twines and Things set.  Now I have used Divine doodles stamp set ,stamped with gathered twigs distress ink pad. arranged on the bottom of the die cut to make a nice arrangement. Stamped a little Happy Birthday sentiment added this across the die cut again to add a little extra interest. Then just twirling some of the twine again from the Twines and Things set around my tweezers to hold in the swirl add these to the sides of the flowers using hot glue, also adding a little bow in the centre at the bottom of the card. Then just add some Dreamees pearls to the centre of all the flowers and then 3 on each side at the top of the card.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at this card and I hope you can try it too.

Have fun

There`s no place like home.

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and keeping warm and safe from all this wind we are having lately.

First of all I must say Thank you for some great shows on Create and Craft we have 4 already in January and they have all been amazing, and we thank each and every one of you for making this happen.

Today I am sharing a frame I have made and I did demo this on Create and Craft last Friday, the product sold out so Im afraid you will have to wait until it is back in stock if you missed it this time.

The products I have used is :
Decorative Plaques Mdf set including Dotty Alphabet Stamp Set.
Pretty Papers Shabby Chic and Rustic
Ditsy Stitches Stamp set.
Rustic Ribbon collection
Pearls
Distress ink pad Gathered Twigs
Cuttables cd rom

First of all I covered all the bars (slats) of mdf in the paper from the cd, I used collall glue and spread it to the end of the wood to make sure it stuck right to the ends. I then crossed the bars over I did glue these in place then used the twine from the rustic ribbon collection to add a bit of criss cross detail to the corners.
I then stamped the sentiment onto  a square of paper again from the cd  using gathered twigs distress ink pad just distressed around the edge of the paper, matt and layered this onto kraft card, using the crop o dile I punched in each corner then added the twine to each hole leaving the knot on the outside, then attaching these to each corner of the frame to hold in place.
I then used the ditsy stamp set and stamped these onto yellow and the blue paper different sizes of the flowers in the gathered twigs ink pad, cut them out leaving a little border, added a little pearl to the centre of each flower, arranging these in the left hand corner of the frame. I then cut the swirl from the cuttables cd using the brother scan and cut machine.
Finally adding pearl to the overlapping bits of the frame in the corners for added detail.

I hope you enjoy this post and return soon.

Thanks for looking
